How free delivery works at Hobson Pharmacy
Free delivery is not a promotion at Hobson Pharmacy. It's part of how a neighborhood pharmacy should work. Here's what to expect:
- Ask for delivery. Call 630-716-3700 when you request a refill or a transfer, or tell us at the counter that you'd like your prescriptions delivered from now on. We note it on your profile so you don't have to ask every time.
- We fill and check your prescription. A pharmacist reviews every order for interactions and correct dosing before it goes out the door, exactly as if you were picking it up.
- We bring it to you. Your medications arrive in a sealed pharmacy bag, delivered by Hobson Pharmacy staff rather than a courier app. We call or text ahead so you know when to expect us.
- Pay the same way you would at the counter. Your copay is the only cost. Delivery is free.
Where we deliver
Hobson Pharmacy is located in south Naperville at 3027 English Rows Ave, Suite 111, just off Route 59 near 95th Street. Most deliveries go to Naperville and the communities around us, including Aurora, Plainfield, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Oswego, Woodridge, and Lisle. But our free delivery reaches any address in Illinois, from the Wisconsin line to the Ohio River. If you have a parent in Springfield or a vacation home in Galena, we can deliver there too. Delivery outside Illinois is not available, because pharmacies need a separate license in each state.
What we can deliver
- New prescriptions and refills
- Medications transferred from another pharmacy
- Over-the-counter items, vitamins, and supplements added to a prescription order
- A whole month of medications at once, if you're enrolled in medication synchronization
Some medications have handling or signature requirements. Refrigerated items and certain controlled substances may need to be handed directly to you or an adult in your household rather than left at the door. We'll explain this when we schedule your delivery.
Who uses free delivery most
Delivery is popular with almost everyone once they try it, but it makes the biggest difference for a few groups of our neighbors:
- Seniors who would rather not drive to Route 59 in traffic, or in an Illinois winter.
- Patients anywhere in Illinois who want an independent pharmacist they can call, without a local independent nearby.
- Adult children caring for a parent in the Naperville area. We can deliver to your parent's home and keep you in the loop by phone.
- Anyone recovering from surgery or illness who shouldn't be running errands.
- Busy families and office workers who would otherwise squeeze a pharmacy stop into a lunch break. Office delivery is welcome.

Privacy and safety
Your medications leave the pharmacy in a sealed bag with your name on the label inside, not on the outside. Deliveries are made by Hobson Pharmacy staff who are trained on medication handling and patient privacy. If you would prefer we only hand medications to you personally, or only to a specific family member, tell us once and we'll follow that every time.
How to set up delivery
Call 630-716-3700 and tell us you'd like free delivery. If you're not yet a Hobson Pharmacy patient, we'll transfer your prescriptions first, which is one phone call, and set up delivery at the same time. You can also send the short form on this page and a pharmacist will call you back.
Frequently asked questions
Is prescription delivery really free at Hobson Pharmacy?
Yes. Hobson Pharmacy in Naperville charges no delivery fee and has no minimum order. You pay only your normal copay or medication price. Free delivery is available to any home or office in Illinois.
How soon can my prescription be delivered?
Timing depends on when your prescription is ready and where you live. Many Naperville-area deliveries go out the same day or the next business day; addresses elsewhere in Illinois take a little longer. Call 630-716-3700 and we'll give you a realistic time when we schedule it.
Can you deliver to my elderly parent's home if I'm the one managing their medications?
Yes. Adult children coordinating a parent's care are some of our most frequent delivery customers. We can deliver to your parent's home, arrange a safe handoff, and keep you updated by phone. Ask a pharmacist about the paperwork that lets us discuss your parent's medications with you.
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Hobson Pharmacy is open Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM and delivery schedules vary by day. Call 630-716-3700 to check availability for a Saturday delivery.
